Currently an associate for San Antonio-based Denton, Navarro, Rocha & Bernal P.C., Elizabeth M. Provencio's practice reflects 12 years of multi-state litigation, including a concentrated caseload in Texas and federal courts since 1999.
Provencio was born in Silver City, N. M., and was admitted to practice law by the Maryland Bar in 1997, the District of Columbia Bar in 1999, and the Texas Bar in 2000. She is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley where she earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration. In 1997, she received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan Law School.
Specializing in legal issues affecting governmental entities, Provencio's law practice includes labor and employment issues, having served as lead negotiator for municipalities, such as Waco, Abilene and Denton, in collective bargaining and meet and confer negotiations with police and fire unions.
Provencio actively participates in the community. She is a member of the Texas City Attorneys Association for which she has presented at its annual conference, the Mexican American Bar Association, and the Bexar County Women's Bar Association. She served on the Advisory Board for the Enterprise Foundation, which supports affordable housing and community development, and is a past member of The Children's Shelter Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of Hispanas Unidas. At the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center Academy, she dances flamenco.
She is married to Texas State Representative Trey Martinez Fischer. |
