Crews Responding to Sewer Spill near Pleasanton Road

Work crews from San Antonio Water System responded to a sanitary sewer overflow yesterday on a SAWS property located at 10750 Pleasanton Road. The spill exceeded 100,000 gallons and is contained entirely on SAWS property.  SAWS will not permit public access to the spill site.  The overflow was a result of a valve failure near a pumping station.

SAWS crews have fixed the valve and cleanup activities are underway. No adverse impacts have been observed. SAWS crews will continue to monitor the area.

See TCEQ Notice (PDF) for more details.
