Now SAWS Customers Can Earn a Bonus for Conservation Efforts with WaterSaver Rewards

San Antonio Water System is continuing its groundbreaking conservation programs by introducing WaterSaver Rewards, a new incentive program that awards points for attending workshops or classes. Customers who sign up by July 31, 2017 will earn a starter point plus a free Garden Style San Antonio magazine featuring our staff-selected 100 best plants for this area. Residential water customers can sign up online at

"San Antonio is already conservation friendly but we'd like to expand our reach and further reward customers who want to learn about conserving water," said Karen Guz, director of SAWS Conservation. "We're offering this incentive to engage new participants and deepen participation in local water conservation programs."

Once a customer signs up online, they can find WaterSaver Rewards events and classes on the calendar and the GardenStyleSA weekly e-newsletter. Customers who collect seven participation points before Oct. 31, 2017 will receive a $70 coupon to use at participating vendors for materials that assist with water conservation efforts such as plants, landscaping materials, rain barrels, etc.

Customers can easily earn points by having a home irrigation checkup (2 pts); retiring a non-functioning irrigation system (3 pts); retiring a functioning irrigation system (5 pts); or part of the functioning system (3 pts) among others.
