For the Fourth, Forego the Fireworks

image

Nothing says Independence Day quite like a cookout, apple pie and fireworks. But this July 4, better leave the rockets’ red glare to the pros.

We don’t mean to be party poopers, but popping or possessing fireworks inside San Antonio city limits is against the law, with fines up to $2,000. Fire inspectors and police will be out in force on the Fourth. To report violators, call the Fireworks Hotline at 210-207-0202.

Still sparked-up to see some skyrockets in flight? Head to the Botanical Garden or the city’s official July Fourth celebration at Woodlawn Lake for a big bang!
