Have a Jazzy Good Time in the Garden

imageBop by the San Antonio Botanical Garden, 555 Funston Place, for the annual SAWS Garden Jazz Party on Sunday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

With the area in its fourth year of drought, there will be timely information stations on topics such as garden beds, hardscape, plant selection, turf, vermiculture, irrigation, landscape maintenance and creating a wildscape. Then take a tour of the WaterSaver Lane by expert master gardeners and members of the Gardening Volunteers of South Texas.

Don’t forget the garden’s plant sale where you can browse a great selection of drought-tolerant plants to add some toughness and color to your landscape.

There will be tasty bites to nosh on and refreshing beverages to sip as you listen to the jazzy tunes of Henry Brun and the Latin Jazz Playerz. Admission to the garden is free during party hours.
