Just a few years ago, San Antonio was totally dependent on day-to-day pumping from the Edwards Aquifer for the city's water needs. Now, as a result of extensive planning, and funding through the Water Supply Fee, SAWS has already made great strides in diversifying our water supply and is working to secure San Antonio's water future.

		2009 Water Management Plan Update An update to SAWS 50-Year Water Management Plan leverages the utility's most successful innovations to ensure plentiful, quality and affordable water — now and for generations to come.
		Current Projects SAWS is moving forward with water supply projects that provide ratepayers with the most viable and affordable options to secure current and future water supplies.
		2005 Water Resource Plan The previous version of SAWS' long-term water supply plan was created through a comprehensive evaluation of the original 1998 plan.
		1998 Water Resource Plan In an effort to reduce dependence on the Edwards Aquifer, SAWS developed its first long-term water plan in 1998.
