Project Agua
Payment Assistance Program |
San Antonio Water System established Project Agua in 2000 to provide water bill payment assistance to customers who are having difficulty paying their water bill.
This program has helped hundreds of families with their water bills during the past few years. Funds are made possible by individual contributions from San Antonio Water System customers. The City of San Antonio, Department of Community Initiatives (DCI) administers available funds.
Eligibility:
Available funds are used to help low-income SAWS residential ratepayers who are elderly, disabled, or who have young children.
Program qualifications include being a SAWS residential customer and qualifying through DCI for participation.
How to Apply
To apply for this program, a customer must contact DCI at (210) 207-7830 to locate the office nearest to their home.
How You Can Help
Your tax deductible donation will help keep water flowing to our neighbors during difficult times. It's simple and no contribution is too small to help.
Just look for the donation box on the return portion of your SAWS bill, simply add the amount you'd like to contribute to your monthly SAWS bill payment and indicate that extra amount in the space provided. Your SAWS payment will be credited to your account and the additional amount will automatically go to Project Agua. Or you can send a check to SAWS noting that the amount is for Project Agua.
