Affordability Discount

Effective for consumption on or about January 1, 2017
Ordinance No. 92752 dated October 19, 2000

SAWS offers four levels of affordability discounts for residential customers who meet the income eligibility requirements.

To receive the discount, a customer must apply with the city of San Antonio Department of Human Services, Family Assistance Division. Program qualifications include being a SAWS customer, qualifying with DHS and meeting the federal income assistance guidelines.

Eligibility is based on Household Family Size and Income at or below 125% Federal Assistance Guidelines
