Pat Jasso

Ms. Jasso joined the SAWS Board of Trustees in October 2013, and now serves as vice chair.

She retired from AT&T in 2011 after 35 years of service. In addition, she spent 15 years in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.

Ms. Jasso devotes much of her time to community and nonprofit organizations. She currently serves on the board of St. Luke’s Lutheran Health Ministries and the International Committee of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition. Jasso is a Life Member of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition.

A former member of the Board of Director of Planned Parenthood South Texas until December 2015, Ms. Jasso previously served as chair from 2005-2007. She currently serves on the subsidiary board of Planned Parenthood Cameron County.

Ms. Jasso served as state president in 2004-2005 for BPW/TX - now known as Texas Business Women (TBW). She was the past chair for its state project, the Chloe Monroe Fund, which raises money for the MD Anderson Cancer Center. Past board service also included the Battered Women’s and Children’s Shelter and the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. Jasso graduated from Leadership San Antonio Independent School District, a six-month program that brings awareness of the education programs and issues associated with SAISD. She is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Texas. In 2005, she was inducted into the San Antonio Women’s Hall of Fame in the volunteerism category.

Ms. Jasso, a Highlands High School graduate, has lived on the South Side for more than 45 years. She was married to the late Leland Boening and has two daughters and four grandchildren.
