Michael W. Lackey is a Registered Professional Engineer and a Registered Real Estate Broker. He has extensive experience providing real estate and construction services in the office, retail and institutional markets in the South Texas region.

Lackey, a native San Antonian, attended Central Catholic High School. His education credits include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Houston.

He currently serves SAWS as Chairman of the Audit and Finance Committee and as Vice-Chair of the Water Resources Committee.

Lackey has served extensively on City of San Antonio Boards and Commissions. He formerly served on the Planning Commission, Board of Appeals, and Mechanical Board of Appeals as well as several other committee assignments. He is a former chair of the Land Development Services Committee.

In addition to his civic service, Lackey enjoys painting in acrylics and oil pastels. His art has been exhibited in local galleries.

He is married to the former Linda Braun; they have two married daughters.
