Alissa Lockett

VP - Treatment Operations & Maintenance

Lockett has worked at SAWS since 2009 and oversees the water recycling centers, lift stations, odor control facilities, and recycled water operations.

Lockett has 22 years of experience in planning, design, construction, and operations of water and wastewater facilities, specializing in treatment. She oversaw the Vista Ridge integration program that ensured seamless delivery of the largest new water supply to San Antonio in the history of SAWS.

A native San Antonian with a B.S in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from UTSA, Lockett is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas. She holds an “A” Wastewater Operator license in Texas, is President-Elect of the Water Environment Association of Texas, is a past Director-at-Large on the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Board, and past Chair of the Texas Section AWWA.

Treatment

The Treatment Operations Group provides the essential function of managing the year-round 24-hour-a-day operation of the 3 water recycling centers that treat the System’s wastewater (producing recycled water, biosolids for composting, and biogas) as well as approximately 150 lift stations and 14 odor control stations.
